Racial tensions

   Racial tensions in America between blacks and whites is extremely high currently. There have been multiple incidents occurring within the United States and tensions just climb higher. An example is the Ferguson trial. A white police officer shot an unarmed black young man and the cop was charged with murder. In the trial, he was not convicted and this set off many protests throughout the country. There have been multiple incidents similar to Ferguson as well. It is vital to educate the youth of America about racial tensions and gender equality. These are two major problems in the world and they should be addressed. It is important to discuss these topics in class as they can lead to sophisticated and controversial talks within the classroom environment. If you use the correct language and use it in a respectable tone, I believe that it is appropriate to discuss racial tensions using racial language within the classroom area only. The youth is the future of the nation and they should have a say in these problems.
